The sea that calls all things unto her calls me, and I must embark. Ready am I to go,
and my eagerness with sails full set awaits the wind. And then I shall stand
among you, seafarer among seafarers. Let not the waves of the sea separate us
now, and the years you have spent in our midst become a memory.
Anchors away!
Alvina and children, Donna, Joe, Gordon, Kurt, Deborah, Mark
And to all your sea bound Buddy's from the U.S.S. Savage. We salute you!
Special thanks to his shipmates for the cards and letters and for remembering:
Paul P. McCarthy, Raymond Crumley and Joseph Allen.
